October Rewind

It’s that time to look back and see just how well I’ve done in the month of October. This month, I found that audiobooks are a new obsession in case the stats don’t tell you first. Click on any of the pics to check them out on Amazon! Must say, Illuminae was great and The Cogsmith’s Daughter was a refreshing treat. Can’t wait for both the sequels there. Additionally, A Time to Reap has a GIVEAWAY <– Click it! That being that, I’m participating in NaNoWriMo this month. Something needs to jumpstart my brain and what better than an event? I’ll be working on 1 of 3 titles, just depending what speaks to me most. Feel free to befriend me out there, I’ll be under Jonas Lee.

Behold, the stats:

YOUTUBE

YouTube is in a timeout. Mainly, my Cross Country Nerd firend has had some complications with her computer and I’ve been investing that space into reading and such. I’m not certain the YouTube thing for CCN will return. Mainly, we are starting to contemplate a Podcast instead. Since programs run an hour, it’s a lot to think people will invest that much sit-down time. So, if/when that does happen, we’ll be kicking it off in 2016. We’ll still have our FB page and tweeting about Star Wars and anything else you can think up.

I’m still giving thought to doing an author YouTube. Interviews are in the same time constraints for viewing, so I’ll be working on a script to get something helpful out there.

September Rewind

It’s that time to look back and see just how well I’ve done in the month of September. I did take part in the South Dakota Book Festival this last week, but I will have a separate post to go over what it was like my first time! Beyond that, I’ve been working on getting my third and final installment in the Carter Gabel series. I think my motivation for completing it has dwindled only because when it’s done, it’s doomed to sit for awhile. But, I’m also working on a secret project I’m sure people will be interested in seeing come to fruition.

June Rewind

It’s that time to look back and see just how well I’ve done in the month of June. This was possibly my busiest month of the year to date just because of softball, vacation and non-writer work I’ve been consumed with. I am looking forward to July as far as my creative productivity goes but will miss my girls from softball after State Tournament is over next week. That aside, I issued an option for readers to take part in the last book of the Carter Gabel series. I’m looking for (9) beta readers to help in the fall to decide the outcome of the book and so far I have (5) of the spots filled. Please let me know if you want in on it!

A Time to Reap, The Next 1000 Miles

Fun With Free Stuff

Which got your attention, fun or free? Either way, I’m glad you’re here. So, reviews are coming in, all of them are great so far! Where is yours at? Yeah you, fellow reader. You don’t have a copy yet?

Well, I have a perfect opportunity for you. Thanks to AEC Stellar Publishing, my book is available in not only one, but two different formats as part of a Giveaway they are doing. And you may be thinking, I never win anything. What can I say? Sorry about that. I never win anything either. But if it’s any consolation, my book is only $2.99 on Amazon. That is a ridiculous price. You could most likely find that kind of change in your couch or on the floor of your car.

Now, if you still want to check out the free route and possibly win other prizes or just have a fun break in your evening, click HERE and plan on attending.

I also have a Rafflecopter prize for free A Time to Reap poster listed on my FB Page. So many chances to win, odds could be in your favor. Seriously, like little to no effort here and you could have an awesome piece of art mailed out to you. I think there is only one entry at the moment. What the heck, guys?

Oh, but be prepared for October. It’s seriously my favorite month and as such, I plan on giving away more stuff. One hint, the giveaway on the next one requires you to have a copy of A Time to Reap. Best get out and find a copy… Or be extremely creative.

A Time to Reap

Dedication

As some who have read the very beginning of A Time to Reap may know, I have dedicated my first book to my mother. She was promised a book many, many moons ago (like thousands) and today is the official debut of the paperback version. It also just happens to be my mother’s birthday today!

So, in honor of my first book and my mother’s birthday, I am offering a giveaway in exchange for just a little bit of your help. For every person you refer to my FB Page I will enter you into drawing for a free, autographed copy of my book. Yes, I will even ship it or deliver it directly to you (depending on location)! Sadly, this can only be for the continental US and Canada. You oversees people are too rich for my blood at this point.

Remember, each person you enter gets you a vote. Each person who likes the page or follows me between now and August 27th will also be entered. Just message me with the phrase “Happy Birthday” and the names of your peeps and we’ll collect them to draw.

Is that all? Wait! There’s more, for every 50 likes, I will draw for a second book. So if I get 51, two people will get a copy. If I get 101, three people will be drawn and so on. If you win and already have a copy, give yours to a friend or family member! Cause now you’ll get one signed!! Click below to start right away.

Showcase

Shannon A. Thompson {Showcase}

This Thursday’s showcase can truly go to none other than Shannon A. Thompson. Mainly, Shannon has been a blogging/author inspiration to me in different forms AND she also has a new release available today. Yes, TODAY! Seconds Before Sunrise is the sequel in her Timely Death Trilogy and I am certain is going to draw twice as much attention.

When most authors get above 5,000 followers, let alone above 10K, the responses and replies get fairly limited or sporadic at best. Shannon has amused my questions and responded to every email I’ve sent her, thankfully! A published author since the young age of 16, Shannon continues to foster stories and work toward a personal goal of opening an affordable art school (help her out).

So, go buy her books and if nothing else, check out her site. I have peppered various links below for your amusement:

Journey of 1000 Miles

Socially Awkward

In the vast abyss of social media, I feel like I am falling into a pit where the bottom is unseen and the sides, untouchable. I mention this because, a lot of the followers I have for my blog, do not like me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter, share with my pictures on Instagram or anything else in between.

As I look at the system as a whole, I have basically been just rehashing or sharing one thought between 3-4 platforms. In my opinion, that’s fairly lazy on my part. I mean, as a fellow subscriber if I follow you on more than one place it’s because I either like you an extreme amount or you give me different perspectives on you.

In that latter sentiment, I plan on changing things up a bit. I’ll still mass post things on a general basis to all I can from my blog. But I want to incorporate more of who I am spread out within this universe of Social Media.

WordPress will have my author updates, release progress, my step by step in my journey. It’ll be a little more of everything in here. This is my Imaginarium and as such should have a little of everything.

Facebook, you’ll get my extra quirkiness. I’ll use it more of a marketing site for my 1000 step journey and start leaving out Life Stuff.

Twitter, since you like to keep it short and sweet there, I’ll post mainly inspiring quotes, thoughts, actions and Life Stuff. It’ll get more expansive as my book release draws near.

Instagram…well, you have little to no say.

Instagram

Tumblr, you may have to sit in the back seat for some time. You’ll be my most up to date version of my personal thoughts, rants, music/movie tastes and the like when the time comes. But, it’s the least ranked followers so far and in the spirit of sharing the wealth, I’d like to see where the other consortium takes this.

Pinterest, I haven’t forgotten about you. I will create an account closer to the launch of my first book in July. I’ll make sure to fill it with the things I have seen in my mind when coming up with characters, scenery or other ideas along the way.

YouTube…someday.

This social media clarification may have a couple of stumbling blocks, but if you don’t follow me on one of the other platforms, feel free to join along in order to see all my different sides.
