Post a Quote Challenge (Day 3)

Hello Everyone,

I am on the final day of the Post A Quote Challenge. Thanks to both Kate M. Colby & Zach Chopchinski for simultaneously thinking of me in this instance. One of these times, I’ll get you first.

Here are the rules in said challenge:

* Post one quotation a day for three days (they can be from other sources or one of your own).

* Nominate 3 other bloggers to participate per post.

* Thank the blogger who nominated you.

Today’s quote is by a comedic genius, but as it is not funny, just read and appreciate the words.

How true is that?

Now, my last batch of nominees (feel free to participate or not):

Jay Kristoff (mainly because I know this person won’t, you’re welcome non-victims)
Kylie Betzner (this is what you get for being funny)
Maria & Mallory (because they operate off one site, it’s technically one person)

Post a Quote Challenge (Day 2)

Hello Everyone,

I am on day two of the Post A Quote Challenge. I’m sure everyone will want to thank both Kate M. Colby & Zach Chopchinski for nominating me!

Here are the rules in said challenge:

* Post one quotation a day for three days (they can be from other sources or one of your own).

* Nominate 3 other bloggers to participate per post.

* Thank the blogger who nominated you.

Today’s lovely quote is by the immortal Stephen King. It could be no truer if it were spoken by a reader, writer or reviewer.

Who hasn’t been transported magically to somewhere else when reading. We could never live enough lives that authors provide us the opportunity to experience whether realistic or completely out of this world. I only wish I could read faster and more often to experience all that there is to offer.

Now, my next batch of nominees (feel free to participate or not):

Shannon A. Thompson

Nina Soden

Lizzy Baldwin

Post a Quote Challenge (Day 1)

Hello Everyone,

I’m sure a lot of you have been seeing the Post A Quote Challenge. Thankfully, people like me enough to nominate me for things like this. I want to thank both Kate M. Colby & Zach Chopchinski for nominating me!

Here are the rules in said challenge:

* Post one quotation a day for three days (they can be from other sources or one of your own).

* Nominate 3 other bloggers to participate per post.

* Thank the blogger who nominated you.

So, now we come down to it, first day selection. I decided to take it back old school and simultaneously simplistic. Something heartfelt that speaks to everyone. So who could do it better than good old Theodor Geisel aka Dr. Seuss.

This not only speaks to me as an author, but as a father, a husband, a friend and just a human being. We should never be so afraid of our own voices to not let them be heard. It doesn’t always mean we’re right, but it proves we’re alive and thinking on our own.

Now, my first batch of nominees (feel free to participate or not, I’m picking on those that I don’t know that well today):

Millie Ho

April L. Wood

Personal Thought

In my humble opinion there are two kinds of people in the world. There are those that read and those that write. One cannot survive without the other.

The more we can encourage and challenge our opposite, the better we become.

Get it On

The paper. Get it on the paper. It’s NaNoWriMo time and for all of you that have that great classic novel that you’ve been waiting to get onto paper, this is your month. Procrastination will take you no further. In this month you are to set the goal to write 50,000 words before December 1st. This does not include emails, blogging or other dictation. 50,000 free-spirited words towards creativity.

Now, please don’t think of this as the New Year’s Day of Writing. Like most resolutions, the first week leads to a self-discovery of improbabilities and all is forgotten in the Winter’s wind. Don’t let holidays or this or that take away a lofty, but important goal for all writers. I will plan to end each blog at the bottom with my Word Count to date, to keep me honest.

Since that’s all I have so far, here’s a picture to keep you entertained:
